When the York Tories heard that Roadtrip2015 was heading to Stockton South, we hopped on the next bus and ventured North. Stockton South is home to our current Honorary President, James Wharton MP. James won Stockton South from Labour in 2010 and remains one of the youngest MPs in the House of Commons. He has since proceeded to make his mark in Westminster with the introduction of the EU Referendum Bill earlier this year.
York Tories joined over 150 activists from all over the country in canvassing and leafleting, and we were particularly proud to introduce new freshers to RoadTrip2015.
Not even a tyre blow-out on the A19 stopped us from getting there. A day of campaigning was followed by food and drinks and a night on the town.
