It’s that time of year again for the Young Britons Foundation (YBF) Parliamentary rally. YBF is a non-partisan, not-for-profit educational, research and training organisation that promotes conservatism in schools, colleges and universities.

Every year it hosts an event in the House of Commons itself where a series of cabinet ministers, MPs think-tank leaders and prominent Conservatives speak to YBF members and supporters in one of the grand House of Commons committee rooms.

The York Tories sent a delegation as per the usual and were both informed and inspired by speakers, who included Cabinet ministers Iain Duncan Smith, Eric Pickles and David Jones, the prominent Education minister Liz Truss, the former Shadow Home Secretary David Davis, and high-profile backbench supporters of YBF Conor Burns, Steve Baker and Robert Halfon.
