THBT: BRITAIN AND HER ALLIES HAVE FAILED THE MIDDLE EAST THROUGH THEIR RELUCTANCE TO INTERVENE

On 17th October, the York Tories held their first debate of the year – “THBT Britain and her allies have failed the Middle east through their reluctance to intervene.”

Speaking for the motion was Press and Publicity Officer, Jack Braund, seconded by first year Jaq Harverson. Speaking against the motion was Secretary, Huw Davies, and seconding him was first year Ben Fordham.

The debate was well attended and well executed. The motion raised many thought-provoking points, and touched on some highly relevant issues facing the world today. After an invigorating exchange of views, both sides make their closing remarks and a vote was held. The event was followed by the traditional drinks in D-Bar and a curry at the Garden of India.
