The York Tories predominantly campaign on behalf of York Conservative Association by supporting City of York councillors and candidates as well as Julian Sturdy MP.
The Association frequently organises mid-week leafleting and telephone canvassing, and a ‘Super Saturday’ Action Day once a month with local activists and supporters.
Leafleting and Canvassing
York Tories leaflet local wards in and around the City of York on an almost weekly basis. Typical leaflets include questionnaires, newsletters and information about candidates in that area.
Occasionally, UYCUA will canvass York residents. This includes going door-to-door and personally asking resident’s views on local issues.
The association engages heavily in telephone canvassing which also seeks resident’s views on the issues that matter most to them, both national or local.
Super-Saturday Action Days
Once a month York Tories organise a ‘Super Saturday’ Action Day in which members, activists and supporters campaign in a local ward on behalf of Julian Sturdy MP and the City Councillors.
Furthermore, York Tories alumnus Chris Rowell is currently Regional Chairman for Yorkshire & The Humber Conservative Future and we regularly support the Regional Super Saturday Action Days which take place in the region’s 40:40 Target Seats.
